Program Director

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer
SUPERVISES: Program Coordinators
STARTING WAGE: $81,375 to $93,000, adjusted for relevant education and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the effective and efficient administration of licensed and unlicensed programs and program sites in accordance with overall program goals, ROI policy and procedure, and all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations. Implement responsibilities and other actions in accordance with ROI’s Core Values and Vision and Mission Statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Supervise and assist in developing, implementing, monitoring and revising overall service/support plans through directly supervising Program Coordinators and, as needed, participating in service/support team meetings.
  2. Embrace and support ROI’s philosophies related to diversity, inclusiveness and anti-racism and work to ensure ROI’s commitment to being an anti-racist organization.
  3. Promote services/supports that are consistent with the needs and desires of the individuals served, and their families.
  4. Assist in implementing service/support plans as appropriate.
  5. Advocate for the individuals served, to ensure the health, well-being and recipient rights of each individual.
  6. Hire, direct, and evaluate work of Program Coordinators and equivalent positions within the program team.
  7. Oversee and/or assist Coordinators in personnel matters of program staff, as is necessary.
  8. Investigate allegations of recipients’ rights violations.
  9. Implement ROI’s Personnel Policies within the Program team.
  10. Assist the CFO in developing and monitoring annual program budgets 
  11. Conduct and/or assist the COO in conducting program evaluations.
  12. Supervise and monitor team activities and licensure of the team’s programs, including the appropriate response to all inspections, investigations, and external audits and reviews.
  13. Oversee recruiting, hiring and training of all team DSPs and assist the agency with the same.
  14. Act as liaison to assigned committees of ROI’s Board of Directors.
  15. Support the Mental Health system through active participation on committees relating to system enhancement.

QUALIFICATIONS: 18 years of age or older, Bachelors degree in Human Services field AND 5 years field experience (will consider years of experience in lieu of degree), preferably working with persons with developmental disabilities. Three years of supervisory experience. Excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, management and problem-solving skills. Ability to: pass background check screening and licensing standards; attend work-related obligations throughout the community.

Preferred: Master’s degree in Human Services field AND 2 years field experience, preferably working with persons with developmental disabilities.
